Initially, s/he couldn’t believe what s/he was reading. Here’s a teleporting expert who was, by all accounts, a technical genius; s/he hauled an old spaceship out of Saturn's orbit to restore it and made their own spaceship. 

That night, s/he vanished. Both their family and the police spent months searching for them, but no one could uncover any leads on where s/he could be.

Then galactical workers found a blown-out spaceship somewhere near Helix Nebula, approximately 700 light-years away from Earth. It is known that s/he was familiar with black matter and some had gone missing from their parents’ property the night s/he disappeared. The police were called, and they were able to confirm that the vehicle identification number on the wreckage matched that of their spaceship. Bone fragments and a piece of their shirt were also found at the scene.
